Power Query Data Refresher Pro

Power Query Data Refresher Pro is a tool that enables you to build an ETL (Extract Transform Load) structure using Excel's Power Query. This is a Pre-Cloud environment and will allow you to use this structure to preview Power BI Data Flows.

This version will allow you to determine a folder location that will: 1) Detect all the xlsx files in that folder 2) Detect all the source locations referenced by each file's Power Query M-Code 3) Determine the dependencies in all the Excel spreadsheets so each item is only refreshed once 4) Log the number of rows extracted for each refresh 5) Detect changes since the last refresh to the M-Code and save the new version for change control (evidence and backup) 6) Do an Automated Power BI Desktop Refresh and Export using keystrokes, to visualize the initial benefits of having a cloud solution to Stakeholders.

This will form a high-speed MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to deliver great transformations and visualization as key POCs (Proof of Concepts).

The Export option uses the Power BI Desktop Features (based on the Current Power BI desktop - July 2023) and exports to PDF. These exports can be found in the default extract location set in Power BI. The Setting lets you set the keystroke speed and keys for alternate options and future-proofing any changes to the Power BI interface.
