Playing with Physics: Law of Conservation of Momentum

In an isolated system of bodies, ie in a system on which no force acts from the outside or the resultant of all external forces is zero, the law of conservation of momentum applies. However, bodies in an isolated system can interact with each other. These forces change their momentum, but the overall momentum of the system as a whole does not change. Energy is also stored in an isolated system.
