SmartFinder allows you to use an innovative way to search for your files on the Desktop with an experience similar to Google's web search!

Search by file name, folder name, file content and filter results with a simple click on meta-data (e.g. author, keyword, ...) and immediately display an extract of the document with the searched words highlighted. With the 'instant search' you can open the first relevant files, or the folders in which they are contained, already while typing the search words.

What if you need to know which files have the same content? With SmartFinder you can immediately identify all duplicate files directly from the search results. WHY: SmartFinder was born above all from one of our primary needs since, working in the field of "Research and development" and having thousands of digital documents (scientific articles, books, theses, ...), it is essential for our productivity to have a search engine tool of highly efficient documents in terms of time and quality of results.

LANGUAGE: You can search the contents of the file in any language (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Polish, Indian or whatever you want!)

LICENSE TYPE: BASIC With this license you have the right to use SmartFinder with all the features listed on this page and to receive free lifetime update! You can search for files by configuring folders that contain up to a maximum of 200,000 files or 100 GB of size!

From version 1.8 only the files that have text content (for example pdf, word, ppt, ...) are counted for size. You can now index&search more files because Video, Audio, Images and any files that NOT contain text do NOT count towards the size threshold!

On the other hand, there is no constraint on configuration changes, it is possible to change the folders on which to index an infinite number of times.
