Welcome to Food with Lala!
This is a food explorer designed with Relative Nutrient Density as the primary metric. Nutrient Density is how much nutrition a food packs in relative to another metric. The most important one being Calories. Both the requirement and the limit of how much food Lala must and can eat is defined in calories. Too many calories and Lala becomes Chonko Lala. Too few calories and Lala becomes trim La...ok that never happens. Only Chonko Lala.
This app is designed to help develop the ability to view combinations of food in the context of relativity. Numbers are only large or small if compared to another number. Something something relativity. Ask Lala, she's a Border Collie.
The app has a finger friendly interface where you can add a variety of foods together to see how different foods with different strengths can all contribute to meeting your goals within a caloric budget. There might even be room for a cookie. It performs a live analysis to compare how the combinations compare to a set of nutritional goals that you can define. Search for foods with voice search. It also supports searching for particular nutrients.
The lack of a daily percentage may be confusing at first, but think of it this way. Lala eats about 1000 calories per day, so her nutrient needs for the day must be met with a budget of 1000 calories. This works out to about 41 calories per hour, 1000 calories per day, 3000 calories every three days, or 7000 calories per week. The budget is the same. The timescale of distribution can be adjusted to meet specific needs and desires. All of these numbers are the same number, just expressed a little differently.
For the adventurous, this app supports custom nutrients, custom nutrient profiles, custom ingredients, and of course, custom recipes and recipe premixing. Menu building and feed distribution is also included and does incorporate timescale.
