Wifi Analyzer and Scanner

I decided to rate this app because of the other reviews, and I have to say that I don't love it, but I do like it. love is a strong word, unless you clean my house and rub my neck, your app is generally well liked. to start, I had no problems downloading or installing this app. It literally took all of maybe 1.5 seconds. Also, it is very rudimentary. One need not be a network engineer to figure it out. It analyzes and scans the wifi networks around you. Just as it's name suggests. And that's it. And that is all I really needed. Not only that, but it also tells you the channel of a particular network and it's strength. No sweat. That, in itself, is very useful for me. Windows network doesn't even do that. At least not to my knowledge; and I'm paying attention. So there you have it. Wi-Fi Analyzer and Scanner, you should probably reverse the words: Wi-Fi Scanner and Analyzer scans the area for Wi-Fi networks, and if found, tells you the best AP based on signal strength.

Every time I switch to the recommended channel and I go back into the app, it recommends a different channel, when I switch to the new recommended channel, it then switches back to the previously recommended channel.. The app also shows signals on the graph that are out of range. Even though a signal is out of range, the app will still base its channel recommendation on those out of range signals even though those signals aren't effecting your signal. I recommend the original Wifi Analyzer app, not this one.

Installed in less than 1 minute on my Netgear adapter enabled PC. Opened immediately and showed me signal strengths of all wifi signals in range instantly. Also shows variations in strength to the second. Love this app.

Not too good for finding issues. Sample rate is too slow. Example; if I turn off an AP it takes the app 10 seconds to realize its gone.

There are better free app's available. Very limited functionality.
