Podcast Picker

Transitioning to Windows phone podcast picker gives me everything I like and need in a podcast app. Except for one thing ... complete archives of the podcasts I subscribe to. Please add that feature. Otherwise I love the app. Sleeping timer is awesome and the GUI is gorgeous. Please consider my plea.

This is my WP favorite pod catcher! I've tried most - Podcast Lounge is solid, but has a quirky playlist design that changes the order each time you open it, Cast Center has a beautiful UI, but recently fails to update podcasts, and Pocket Cast is off to a great start, but has "version one" issues. It's great to have such a wide selection, but Podcast Picker does everything I need in a simple, reliable manner. Would like to see variable speed playback. Great, overall! Update - nearly 3 months of heavy use, and Podcast Picker reigns supreme among the podcast apps. I'm subscribed to 30 podcasts, and have auto-downloaded (to SD card) nearly 100 episodes, sorted into custom lists, for later listening. It all just works automatically in the background. Simple and reliable, but powerful. Thanks.

This is one of Windows Phone's must have apps. I've been struggling with Podcaster for awhile. It had some features I like, but with 50-60 subscriptions the management was really difficult. Much better management features here. Now playing module, check. Bulk edit, check. It's just fantastic. Discovery is very good too. Minor issues: - Could use a slight improvement in search. It's a little strict. Ex: To find the Savage Love podcast "Savage" works and the exact title "Savage Lovecast" works but "Savage Love" returns no result. - Occasionally hangs during auto-update and of you don't notice it'll start chewing through battery until you close & re-open the app. Overall great job, devs!

No longer able to update podcast, unusable.

Would be a 5. I tried many and this is the best on wp8. BUT since the last update controls have been wonky. Go to change podcasts and it keeps playing the one it was on. Looses its place in the podcast now. Refuses to play sometimes have to reboot my phone,turn off Bluetooth and play something from my Xbox music collection, stop that then turn Bluetooth back on and play my desired podcast. I wish it just worked like it used to. UPDATE: an update fixed the above issue but now it has other issues. I just got another update so fingers crossed. Will update after testing.

The best podcast app for windows phone. I've tried podcast lounge, ipodcast, podcast critter, podcasts! and one or two more. This one works Has playlists, easy to add new ones and works more intuitively than the others is quick. Easy to subscribe, built in timer, playlists and it works!

Not automatically play the next podcast, wp8.1

I've tried the built-in podcast app, Podcast Lounge, Bringcast, Podcasts!, and this one. Podcast Picker is my favorite so far. The downloading function -- which seems to be a problem with a lot of WP podcast apps -- works really smoothly in this one. The only thing I think Picker is missing so far is more per-podcast settings. Right now if you subscribe to something like 'Welcome to Night Vale' or 'Serial' and want to download it starting from the beginning, you can't set it to download the oldest unplayed episode. You can only automatically download the newest episode. That would be a very welcome feature.
