HQ Metronome

A good metronome with decent options for subdivisions. Nice control of sound, volume, and subdivision per beat. The wheel for setting the tempo is nicely done; this works well with touch screen or mouse.

It needs a 1/4 bar option and lower price

Had several others and this is truly outstanding. Don't like that the only time you can review all the features is when you install it. Or maybe I'm missing something :)

First of all, let me say that I'd give this 5 stars but for the fact that I haven't yet tried all the features. I can say though that it keeps good time without all the hesitations the free apps have when new ads are loaded, it's easy to set the time signature and tempo and when I open it the tempo is right where I left it last time. Well worth the $$.

Won't load if device is not online. Stops when window loses focus (i.e., I open sheet music in Adobe Reader). Sounds not obnoxious like most hardware metronomes (i.e., Boss) that can cut through loud instruments in a band rehearsal. U. I. is friendly. Being able to save and recall a set of configs is nice. Having to have Internet connectivity is a deal breaker. Can't go higher that 2 stars.
