Scary but Legit by Tracy
For those of us who are MSFT employees, don't be afraid to call IT when you see something that looks like malware. I did and spoke to a guy who explained to me that this is indeed legit, and is being rolled out internally to support a new VPN option. Don't take my word for it though. It could easily have been malware, so you skeptics were right to worry. Call IT and, in this case, just get the link to the FAQ. (Two stars because it really does look like malware. Bad branding, unknown signing party, lots of 1 star reviews. Do better, Microsoft.)

Malicious Install? by Michael
This app appeared on my computer. No matter how many times I uninstall it; it comes back. I'd wipe my machine however I'm afraid this may be a store issue.

I setup my account just like every other device I have and it worked on the first try. Great job guys, very happy to have this functionality while using my Lumia 950.

Works by Chad
The app integrates the standalone client into the OS-native VPN providers. To create a VPN connection you go to the OS settings > Network and Internet > VPN then click "+". Once you do you can choose GlobalProtect as a VN provider. This helps me get rid of the standalone app that always left a systray icon.
