Finally found a windows 8 phone gps app with topo maps. Love this app. The author is very responsive to new ideas. By far the best app on my phone! Nothing else even comes close. Great support via email. I've contacted Michael on three occasions. Each time he's responded in a timely manner. The last time was to report a bug. Said bug was fixed within a couple of days and made available for download shortly thereafter. Absolutely fantastic support. I am in no way affiliated with this app.

If you hike in dead zones and want a good GPS app with great offline topo map support, this is it. Worth the price.

Great navigation aid! I used this app to enter an off-road trail as a route and navigated through the waypoints with ease to get to my destination while enjoying the great scenery in a remote area with no cell phone service. Entering and navigating waypoints is easier than entering on commercial handheld GPS units. The open map format is great for having charts and maps readily available without having to have a data connection when your in a remote area.

Excellent App, With this app I don't need to carry a GPS

Functionality is awesome. Just what you need nothing you don't. Tried outdoor navigation and this is much better and easier to use. My only request is ability to upload files from desktop in kmz or kml format so I can use google earth to plan the trip. OneDrive integration really good though.
