By far the best language app for Windows Phone. That said, I'd like to change a few things. I'd like the ability to change a few things. I would like the ability to flag words I feel I need to practice. Also, I keep loosing proficiency on levels I have completed. Especially those levels I used shortcuts on. It seems like proficiency is bases on a timer rather than getting specific words wrong in subsequent lessons. It seems like it would be complicated to program, but it would be really cool if weak words were triggered by specific errors rather than just cropping up periodically. Thanks for the great program

It's pretty awesome! by Joshua
I like it because it teaches different languages and helps you understand them, but the only problem is once you chose a language and start it, you have to finish it before you go to the next language. Closing the app doesn't work , so chose wisely with the languages you want to learn.

The Greatest by Tyrique
Quite possibly, the best free language app on the planet. I'm taking French so I need to make sure I remember the stuff that I learn and Duolingo is an amazing way to go back and review the stuff you have learned. I am genuinely surprised this is free with no gimmicks or having to pay to "take your learning offline" like Busuu. It is comparable to Rosetta Stone. Great design, nice and simple. I only wish they made it more like the website; the lingot store, the discussion under every "prompt", and the microphone system. 25 thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun, and efficient by God's
I like the way it doesn't lecture you on the words, or tell you to say the word 50 times. But right away it puts the words first in pictures, and then puts them in very simple sentences. It doesn't tell you this is the feminine or masculine version of the word. But as you go through you start picking up on those small things. It also switches between typing, speaking and clicking on the right word, and changes from your native language to the one you're learning so you get used to translating both ways. Really great app.

Rote Learning by Mark
So far, this app is good for an introduction to a new language, with some minimal coaching for pronunciation. Requires umlauts (German), enyes (Spanish), etc...so it is a good idea to have your shortcut keys down. Everything functions just fine, and no glitches downloading or installing. After using this software a bit, I'd add that there is a good variety of exercises to keep the pace going, and there is really an amazing amount of material here. I would recommend this app.
