8tracks radio

I've had this problem with two computers that run windows 8.1, both different brands. I install 8tracks, it works for a few months, then, "something's wrong [...] check your internet connection." Meanwhile, my internet connection is working perfectly. I can play the games I need, watch the movies I want, listen to 8tracks on the website perfectly fine. I don't know what's wrong, but it's happened with all the computers I've installed the 8tracks app on.

Pandora was nice for a while, but when you keep hearing the same songs over, it gets as annoying as the radio. 8Tracks is really cool because it lets 'normal people' make playlists; instead of robots. Then, when I click on a mood or a genre, I know that someone else was feeling that way and thought these songs fit well. Normally, it's spot on. If it's not, there's a lot more to choose from and I love that. I get bored really easily and I've never gotten sick of finding new music on this app. Seriously, changed how I listen to music. <3

So I am writing. Creative and Critical all that sort. I always need inspiration to get me going on projects. It hasn't been working with a lot of the music apps I have used in the past. 8tracks is by far the coolest one because it has all these playlists for authors who are music lovers!!! Yaya!!!

nothing works as expected, if you move to a new playlist the app won't update the player view (it will still be the first playlist) and then there is no way to get to the playlist your currently on, clicking the bottom left icon *of* the playlist your on does nothing (broken link) and there's no intuitive way to get find the playlist your on because "play all" is also broken and your served playlist at random (so the swipe left/right on a playlist of playlist feature is comically frustrating because the playlist your swiping left and right on have nothing to do with the actual series of playlists your listening to!) Often times the "tags" and other playlist info are either missing or don't render, and as mentioned "play all" is broken and just plays random playlist. So if you wanted to listen to say just "your feed" you can't. It will move to a playlist from "recommended" or just play a new random playlist instead of the next playlist on your feed. PLAY AND PAUSE DON'T EVEN WORK NOW

This app has helped me discover many new amazing songs. It's fun and easy to find music to suit your occasion, emotion and so on. But there is one thing...I can't listen to the songs again. I favorite them but I can't listen to them after that. But I will keep using the app to discover new songs then add them to my computer.

Well, it's great, really. but It only works 10% of the time I press play. worse off there's no way of reading the full message "we're sorry, but our music license requires us to limit..." and that's it. There's no "read more" and clicking the tooltip doesn't launch a web page with helpful information. I'm uninstalling and trying Deezer, I'll be back in a couple of years, hopefully it'll be more refined. I loved it at first, now it just frustrates me.
