The King of the Hill

The King of the Hill game is a somewhat retro mashup of an RPG and a card playing game with elements of a text adventure. With hundreds of visual assets, and a professional audio soundtrack and effects, it recreates the nostalgia of an old school video game from the heyday of microcomputers, with a touch of modern influence.

The Known Lands are a place of diversity. There are White and Black Pieces, Living and Undead, and Dwarves, Elves, and Humans. Each with their own attributes and capabilities.

Your only goal is to defeat your opponent’s 9th level King. That’s it.

Select a champion Piece and prepare them for combat.

Use Gold to equip your champion with armor, shields, weapons, amulets, rings, spell books and potions. There are more than 300 items to choose from, each with their own abilities, and some are legendary.

Use Skill Points to train your various Pieces by learning more than 160 different skills in 35 unique categories.

Choose your opponent. You can fight against any Piece you want. Just make sure you have what it takes to win. But remember, your only goal is to defeat the 9th level King.

Defeat Living Pieces to earn Gold and buy better equipment. Defeat Living and Undead Pieces to earn Skill Points for more training, and Experience Points to level-up. Defeat the Undead to take their equipment.

Rumor has it that some of your opponents might be carrying Legendary Items. Find them and read their descriptions to learn about the history and culture of the Known Lands.

Defeating the 9th Level King is not easy. Complete various Tasks to earn more startup Gold so you can better prepare for your next game, as well as to reveal more information about the known lands, and unlock a few surprises.
