Descrizione
Available in Portuguese, English and Spanish, this simulator provides the possibility to investigate the Projectile Movement in a 3D perspective. The study of the movement of projectiles is very important because it allows the approach of movement in two dimensions. In this movement, the projectiles are launched and subjected to a downward constant acceleration due to the force of gravity, causing the projectiles to describe a parabolic trajectory. Within the study of projectile motion, the determination of the range and its relation with the angle of launch are also very important. Seeking to approach the concepts contained in the projectile movement, this simulator brings two scenarios, each one with different gravity values: the Earth and the Moon. In both of them, there is a cannon that fires projectiles across the scenario. In the Earth there is a wall with some dynamites to be hit and cylinder collectors to approach the concept of horizontal range. The parabolic movement is shown through a trail of smoke left by the projectile. In the Moon there is no explosions and smoke. As the objective of this simulator is to demonstrate the phenomenon qualitatively, it does not provide any numerical output data, such as maximum height reached by the projectile or horizontal range of the trajectory. But this can change if there is user demand. Install and enjoy.
