The Pediatric Performance Validity Test Suite™ (PdPVTS™)
Robert J. McCaffrey, PhD, Julie K. Lynch, PhD, Robert A. Leark, PhD, and Cecil R. Reynolds, PhD
Maximum performance tests, including all neuropsychological measures, tests of intelligence and achievement, problem-solving, visual and auditory perception and processing, memory, and related measures require examinees to do their best or exert maximum effort in order to interpret performance as representing true levels of ability or skill on the construct(s) being assessed. The Pediatric Performance Validity Test Suite™ (PdPVTS™) includes five individual performance validity tests. These tests are used to assess whether children and youth aged 5 to 18 years are putting forward maximum performances throughout a neuropsychological or psychoeducational evaluation.
