Fable Blockly

Fable Blockly is the official programming app for the Fable System. Fable is a modular robot that allows you to build advanced custom robots in seconds. With the Fable System you can for example create walking robots, social robots, industrial robots, snake robots and much more. Once you have assembled your robot, you can bring your creation to life by using Fable Blockly’s intuitive block based programming environment or by using the built-in Python editor.

The Fable System is designed for the classroom and has a variety of lesson plans readily available for download. The lesson plans range from an introduction to programming, computer science, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and more open-ended innovation projects for teaching 21st century skills, e.g. developing welfare technology.

Fable Blockly and the Fable system can be used together with other apps for your smartphone and tablet. The Fable Face app turns your smartphone into a personalized facial module that can show emotions, play sounds and provide sensor inputs to the robot.
