In dental schools, it is essential to ensure that students' dental preps are graded based on a standard ground and accurately. DT-PrepScanner is an automated measuring device that provides fast, precise, and objective tooth prep grading. Students can use the scanner machine to scan a single or multiple tooth prep(s) and submit the results through the App. The instructor uses simultaneous tooth prep scanning (faster than the manual method) using an automatic laser scan to ensure accurate and standardized measurements and grading. A library of standard and customizable rubrics allows the students to access invaluable cloud-based information anytime, anywhere (in the lab or at home). Dental students can self-assess themselves before submitting their final work to their instructor and have access to the instructor's prep via the virtual tutor feature and digital rubrics. The students can also compare the instructor's prep vs. student's prep - intact prep vs. student's prep.
