TÜV SÜD Verify

Since 1995, TÜV SÜD Industry Services generates electronic test reports and gives its customers the potential to retrieve and to redirect these reports in PDF-format. The original report does not bear a signature. The mailed original copy is printed on special watermarked paper. On ordinary copies and electronic reports no watermark exists. Thus, it is not apparent, whether the report is an original copy or it has been manipulated. Since May 2012, TÜV SÜD Industry Services prints a QR code on each report, which refers to the original report on a secure WEB server. With the TÜV SÜD Verify APP you are able to scan the QR code, in order to verify the correct address of the TÜV SÜD server and to retrieve the corresponding report from there. In this way, the user can easily check whether the report (electronic PDF version or copy/fax) matches with the TÜV SÜD original copy. In a next step (as of 3rd quarter 2014), TÜV SÜD Industry Services will stick a test label with QR code on inspected equipment (lifts, escalators, pressure vessels, electrical installations, etc.). This sticker refers to information as: date of inspection, due-date of next inspection, scope of inspection, and provides additional explanations of the equipment. In addition, customers will be entitled to retrieve the complete inspection history of all equipment inspected.
