If your PC or laptop lacks a built-in GPS/GNSS chip, you can now utilize an external USB GPS device for real-time satellite tracking during your trip. As long as the Device Manager lists the GPS device as a COM port, labeled 'USB Serial Device (COMx)' in Windows, the application should be able to detect it. Additional language support. View the path in real time on the installed Microsoft Here map, log your trip and save it to a GPX file. Saved files can also be imported into Google Earth, Microsoft MapPoint or Streets and Trips and many other apps that read GPX files. Download the app on your Windows 10 PC/tablet AND your phone. The app and GPX files are compatible. Import/export placemarks to a local file or cloud storage file. The files are saved in clear text XML format. Edit them and resave in any text editor. This application is intended for use with the GPS/GNSS Geolocation feature integrated into certain modern tablets and Windows phones, or with an external USB GPS device. If your device lacks a GPS chip, you will be limited to viewing maps without the ability to track your location. Please consider that a 1-star rating should not reflect hardware limitations, but rather the app's functionality. (The tracking does not work with an external GPS connected by USB or com port. Even if the device is installed inside the laptop, if it is on a com port it does not work. This is a Windows 10 thing, not the apps fault, sorry.) There are two different versions available depending on your operating system.
