Learning electrical and electronics theory is one thing. Using theory to solve electrical problems and troubleshoot circuits is something else. Application takes practice and experience. The numbers on a digital voltmeter are easy to read. But what do the numbers mean? This program is designed to help students learn to interpret voltmeter readings in context of the circuit being tested. The activities in this program produce realistic interactive experiences that allow “learning by doing”. Student efforts are immediately scored. New parameters are randomly selected each time an activity is used. This allows students to practice many times without simply memorizing solutions. Correct responses are given when errors are made.
This program is designed for training in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, HVAC and other occupations that require voltmeter testing. Can you identify shorts and opens in electrical and electronic circuits using voltmeter measurements? Can you determine the faulty electrical part in a circuit by making voltmeter measurements and applying theory? This program can give you practical practice in developing troubleshooting skill. Some of the activities can challenge even experienced electronics technicians!
