Is there any difference among this Windows 8 Store version and other versions? All versions of TOEFL Words in 30 Days from Pacific Lava English School share same word list in general. We commonly update word list and its definitions per year, but cannot update all versions at same day, so at particular period there is tiny difference possibly among these versions. As for software features, separate versions have different merits based on the natures of various devices, users can select on demand.
Why do I have to be online when doing word quiz or showing word list of the day? TOEFL Words in 30 Days keep your own studying data at local device. However, it produces word quiz, word explanation, and word list of the day dynamically through Internet. Any network failure would stop the app. It is why you have to keep online when running the app.
Sometimes I find out that the word quiz is different from previous one, why? In most cases, the app will keep word quiz in memory. But there are 2 exceptions. If you close the app and restart it, the quiz will be refreshed and would be different from previous one. Even if you don't close app, but if you change 'My First Language', that means all explanations and answer options have to be updated, buffered word quiz will be cleaned accordingly.
