Description

Pairs! is a memory game where you form pairs of cards that have images depicting given vocabulary. Such vocabulary is divided into categories, among which the player chooses one to use the cards with the corresponding images.

The game currently has eight categories:

Verbs Fruits Vegetables Nature Animals Occupations Vehicles Body parts

Each category includes ten words and sentences with the corresponding vocabulary.

Instructions:

When opening the game, the initial screen containing the game's name will be displayed, along with several buttons. The "Play" button leads to the screen where the vocabulary category with which you want to play will be chosen; the button in the upper left corner shows the best times obtained in each category; the button in the upper right corner activates or deactivates the sound of the game; the "Credits" button shows the names of those who were involved in the development and the sources where some of the materials were obtained, and the “Exit” button closes the game.

As mentioned before, the application includes eight categories. After selecting one, twenty cards will be displayed and distributed in five rows with four cards each; then the game starts.

Rules of the game:

To play, choose any two cards. If the images are different, the cards return to their initial state, while if both cards have the same image, the pair is removed from the board. In this way, the game continues until all the pairs are found.

During the game, the time that the player takes to find the pairs will be measured. Once all the pairs are found, the game ends, and the time taken will be displayed. If this time is among the top 3 in the category selected, it will be saved.
