Description
The easy way to resize (upscale) your MP4 videos to 4K (UHD, 3840 × 2160).
Just drag and drop your MP4 files onto the app, and it will immediately get to work rescaling them to 4K.
This helps native 4K TV's and monitors display without the need to perform local upscaling, and also allows native streaming from NAS and Media devices which is especially useful if they don't have hardware upscaling transcoders.
Please note that MP4 4K files can be big; I'm mean, you might think 1GB is big (720 x 306, 90 minute movie), but that's nothing compared to having it upscaled to 4K, think 20GB (3840 x 2160) for the same video, and you're getting close. It also takes time, even on the latest GPU's (yes it used hardware GPU encoding) and SSD drives; it takes time to analyse the video and use intelligent upscaling.
So, what about the quality of the 4K video, will it better than your little 720 x 306 video? - good question, yes and no. It's the best you'll get as the app will smooth the edges and intelligently work out all the colors and images, however, the principle of "rubbish in, rubbish out" always prevails.
