This is an application that allows the user to connect and control LIFX Wi-Fi connected bulbs out of the box. Additionally we demonstrate our capabilities with the AllJoyn architecture by developing an AllJoyn Service to support the Philips Hue bulbs.

AllJoyn is an ‘open source framework that makes it easy for devices and apps to discover and securely communicate with each other’, it is part of The AllSeen Alliance which is a ‘cross-industry consortium that is dedicated to enabling the interoperability of billions of devices, services and apps that comprise the Internet of Things’.

You can download the code and accompanying documentation to add additional support for Philips Hue bulbs.
