Description
Internals Viewer is a powerful visualisation tool designed for database administrators and developers, offering an in-depth look into the internals of the SQL Server Storage Engine.
This tool allows users to understand how the database stores data, manages allocations, and the structure of tables and indexes. It provides insights into things like the differences between clustered and non-clustered indexes (indexes that maintain a separate index key), the impact of data type choices, and the structure and navigation of b-tree indexes. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate around the database internals.
Internals Viewer can connect to an online SQL Server or an offline .MDF data file. Future versions will offer the ability to connect to database backup files.
