***Introducing Wild Thing Poker™*** It’s Gonna Get Wild™
When it comes to poker, you’ve seen it all, right? Wrong. Unless you’ve played Wild Thing Poker.
Wild Thing Poker puts an entirely original spin on the game that humans have known and loved since the early 1800s. Think of it as a variant of the most widely played poker game, seven-card stud. It includes popular favorites like “wild” cards and “stud” bets that add variety and excitement to the game.
Unlike in draw poker, where no cards are ever seen before showdown, stud poker players use the value of each face-up card to decide whether to continue the game or fold. The gameplay is automatic, meaning there are no special rules to remember. If the hand you’re dealt belongs to any of the winning hands in the pay table for that hand, you win.
Wild Thing Poker is easy to learn and play, which is appealing for novice poker players. More experienced players, on the other hand, will enjoy the strategic thinking that goes into deciding whether to continue the game or fold. And therein lies the challenge, as the song goes: “You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.”
The basics of Wild Thing Poker are simple: 1. You make your initial wager and are dealt a three-card stud hand in which all 3s are wild. After the hand is dealt, you only have one choice to make: Bet or fold. If you fold, you start over with a new three-card hand. 2. If you bet, you wager your original ante again and are dealt the next two cards. These combine with your three-card hand to make a standard five-card poker hand. Only in this hand, 5s are now wild — including any 5s from your original three-card hand. After this hand, you once again have the choice to bet or fold. 3. If you bet, you make a third wager and receive the final two cards of the seven-card hand. Now, all 7s are wild, and the pay table gets very interesting. Credits are awarded for any five-card hand made from the seven cards, beginning with a straight. A six-of-a-kind pays 500 credits per credit bet, while a seven-of-a-kind pays 1,000 credits per credit bet.
Just so we’re clear: The active wild card (a 3, 5 or 7) is determined by the number of cards in your hand.
> Three cards are dealt with the first wager, so 3s are wild. > Two more cards are dealt with the second wager, making 5s wild in the five-card hand. > The last two cards are dealt with the third wager, making 7s wild in the seven-card hand. > And did we mention with the third wager, a seven-of-a-kind is possible, providing a 1,000-to-1 credit payout?
Players can win on the first, second or third wager — or on all three.
