Remember Atari Pong? You can now forget Atari Pong. Try this game - and you will see why. You can move your paddle anywhere on the field, not just on a narrow strip next to the edge. Play against computer opponent or over the network. Try it - and you will not be disappointed.
This game is also available on Linux Ubuntu and on MacOS Ventura. Search for 'RealPong" in Mac App Store and Ubuntu Snap store. You can play it cross-platform.
Depending on the selected mode, in order to play over network, user has to open port 5288 on his/her firewall. Unless your network admin added new rules (as it often happens within corporate networks) there should be no problem connecting. Otherwise you need to:
1) when connecting as host, open incoming connections on port 5288 (TCP or UDP, depending on selected type of connection). 2) when connecting as client, open outgoing connections on port 5288 (TCP or UDP, depending on selected type of connection). 3) when using a local game server, open outgoing connections on TCP port 5288. 4) when using "direct connect" open UDP ports 5288 and 5289 for both incoming and outgoing data.
