JustTLC is the next generation of thin layer chromatography (TLC) analysis software that gives you the possibility to run chemistry experiments by using just TLC plates.
Loved by scientists, companies and universities around the world, JustTLC has become the de facto standard for accurate and reliable quantitative thin layer chromatography (TLC) analysis. More than 120 scientific papers, at the forefront of research, have been published with results base on JustTLC as the imaging software.
JustTLC gives you measuring accuracy suitable for high-throughput screening or analytical investigations and reliable results in minutes rather than hours. • Perform quantitative analysis on TLC plates in minutes. • Automatically detect and truly compare chromatograms in three dimensions. • Compare data from lanes, bands, spots and plates. • Group and average plates for increased statistical reliability. • Display graphs and store TLC plates in projects. • Export data into Excel or other third party software for further custom analysis. • Create comprehensible reports, including images and graphs, in formats such as Microsoft Word and, Acrobat PDF. • Print graphs, plates and data sheets. • Aids compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11. • Supports fully automated batch processing of up to 50 plates with data export using command line arguments without a single click in the UI. The core measuring functionality in JustTLC is based on unique and advanced image processing algorithms, carefully crafted together with one of Sweden's most prominent organic chemistry centres at Lund University. Over several years, the methods for extracting data from the digital images have been perfected into today's reliable and accurate capabilities.
JustTLC is suitable for quantitative analysis in a wide range of applications such as food, health care products, cosmetics, herbal drugs, forensics and biotechnology.
First ever publication with JustTLC: Evaluation of quantitative thin layer chromatography using staining reagents
Richard Johnsson, Gustav Träff, Martin Sundén and Ulf Ellervik Journal of Chromatography A, Volume 1164, Issues 1-2, 14 September 2007, Pages 298-305
Abstract Thin layer chromatography (TLC) using staining reagents is a superior method for analyzing organic compounds without chromophores. It is fast, versatile and sometimes the only viable method. We have investigated quantitative TLC using staining reagents, in combination with modern image analysis software. Our results show that it is possible to get reliable measurements, suitable for high-throughput screening or physical organic investigations. The range of detection and the errors for the different parts of the process are illustrated. We show that the errors are largely due to the staining process and can be diminished by measuring ratios of compounds. Full article at: 10.1016/j.chroma.2007.07.029
