FileSyncToy synchronizes, copies, and backs-up folders and files on your computer or computers.
Synchronization helps you copy, move, rename, and delete files between folders and computers quickly and easily. It's perfect for people who need to keep their files in sync across multiple devices or who want to backup their important files. With FileSyncToy, you can easily create custom synchronization rules that allow you to synchronize specific folders or file types.
The original concept for FileSyncToy came from a Microsoft utility called SyncToy (abandoned in 2009) that’s still popular today; we brought it up to date with a modern design but kept a nod to the past. See GitHub for more details, user guides, roadmap, etc. https://github.com/HEIC-to-JPEG-Dev/FileSyncToy
Synchronization Types • Synchronize: Copies all changes from left to right and from right to left. • Echo: Copies all changes from the left to the right. • Contribute: Copies all changes except deletion from the left to the right.
Folder pairs can be from the same computer, different computers (over a network connection), UNC connections, NAS drives, USB drives, basically anything you can map a drive to or access via a UNC connection.
