Problem Statement: Development of XR applications require high-performance computing without the need for expensive hardware or complicated setups. Traditional workstations often suffer from resource constraints, hindering scalability and resource sharing, leading to lost productivity and increased costs. Solution: Ajna Workstation aims to overcome these limitations by offering a scalable, secure, and cost-effective virtual machine solution. Ajna Workstation is a virtualized computing environment that emulates the capabilities and functionality of a physical workstation on a remote server. It provides a virtualized desktop environment with the necessary processing power, memory, storage, and software applications required to perform various tasks and workflows. It enables users to access and utilise powerful computing resources remotely, without the need for complex physical hardware or infrastructure. Instead of relying on a traditional desktop computer or laptop, users can access their virtual workstation from any device with an internet connection, such as laptops, tablets, or thin clients. The application of virtual workstations is diverse and can be beneficial in several scenarios: Remote Work: Ajna Workstations allow users to work from anywhere, accessing their personalised desktop environment with all the required applications and data. Resource-intensive Tasks: Ajna Workstations provides access to high-performance computing resources, making them suitable for handling resource-intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, video editing, simulations, and data analysis. Users can leverage the virtual workstation's processing power to perform all complex tasks in XR development Scalability: Ajna Workstations can be easily scaled up or down based on the user's requirements. As computing needs fluctuate, resources can be adjusted accordingly, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Security and Data Protection: By using Ajna Workstation, sensitive data and intellectual property can be stored and processed within a secure cloud environment. Data is less vulnerable to loss or theft since it resides on servers with robust security measures, reducing the risks associated with local storage and physical devices. In conclusion, Ajna Workstations provide a flexible, scalable, secure, and accessible computing environment as well as enabling users to efficiently perform tasks that require substantial computing resources for XR development. Guide to Using Ajna Workstation Download the .exe file for Ajna Workstation. Install the downloaded .exe file on your system. Open the Ajna Workstation application to begin the signup process. SignUp Process Enter a username for your Ajna Workstation account. The character length should be between 8 and 64. Ensure the username does not contain any parts from your email. Alphanumeric characters, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-) are allowed. Enter your email address for account registration. Verify your email address by entering the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your email. Set a password for your account. The password must be 6-10 characters long, contain at least one special character, at least one uppercase character, and no spaces. Re-enter the password to confirm. Enter your mobile number for account verification. Upload your profile picture for identification purposes. Account Login and Usage Once the signup process is successfully completed, log in to your Ajna Workstation account using your registered email and password. The number of hours of Workstation access available to you will be displayed on the top of the application. You can update your access hours by making a payment. Within the Workstation application, you can directly access your ACP (AjnaVidya Course Platform) lectures without entering a session. Clicking on the ACP lectures will direct you to your browser on your own PC. Alternatively, you can enter the Workstation session to utilise the Workstation resources. The timer will start once you enter the session. You can use a maximum of 3 hours of Workstation access per day. If you decide to exit the session, the timer will stop, and you can continue to access the Workstation for the remaining hours for that day. From within the Workstation session, you can also access ACP lectures. The Workstation comes with pre-installed applications like Unreal and Twinmotion. To access these applications, log in using your username and password. If you log in using Google, Facebook, or any other method, make sure to set the default browser as Chrome or Edge. The default system storage provided with your Workstation account is 500GB. The Ajna Workstation application is designed to be user-friendly, allowing you to use it just like your own PC but with powerful processing capabilities.
