New Vision/New Tool ZUNI Learning Tree’s cloud-based platform makes teachers and parents feel like they have the assistant they dream about, need and deserve. Our vision is to provide educators and parents one easy to use location for district, teacher and student resources. ZUNI can be customized to meet the needs of the user, the school, and/or the district. ZUNI harnesses the power of free and open educational resources (OERs) for PreK-8th grade with high school rolling out fall 2018. ZUNI's platform makes it easy to differentiate and personalize instruction, to learn about new initiatives, to locate resources to support building positive classrooms and school cultures, and to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents. Inside the platform, users learn about tools to engage with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), audio and ebooks, games, videos, interactives, girls in science, coding, technology tools, holiday and cultural resources, and tools to strengthen English language acquisition. Each piece of content can be easily shared on social media to engage parents. Parents can utilize the resources to support classroom instruction, to clearly understand what is being taught at each grade level, and to inspire the love of learning in the home. In addition, lessons can be created and assigned through ZUNI’s learning management system or shared via Google Classroom or into other learning management systems. ZUNI’s platform can be customized to include resources schools and districts have already purchased and by doing so, districts get more value from monies they have already spent on products and tools. It is designed to be the ONE stop shop for educators of all types, classroom, bilingual, special education, gifted and talented, and interventionist. ZUNI is the tool a community, a region, or a state can use to ensure equal access for all to quality educational resources. Harnessing the power of free and open educational resources through ZUNI can save districts, schools, teachers, and parents hundreds to millions of dollars and save teachers and parents from spending unnecessary hours searching the internet. Teachers spend on average 400 hours a year searching the internet. That equals $10,000.00 of uncompensated time. Teachers are the heroes of their classrooms and parents are the heroes of their homes. ZUNI supports our heroes and makes their lives and what they do a little easier. At ZUNI Learning Tree we know that lives, communities, and dreams change with education; we are committed to making it easy to maintain a life-long love of learning for everyone. Come grow with us!
