The Hotstrings is text replacement tool aka autotext aka text expansion tool for Microsoft Windows.

Text replacement tool: short text (aka string aka triggerstring) is automatically replaced to long text (aka string aka hotstring).

Imagine, what the great options open upon you: all those tedious, repetitive, hard to remember text strings which you have to enter numerous times per day can now be automatically entered following your definitions. Finally, your PC computer can be personal again.

This concept is known for some applications, to name at least one, in Microsoft Word exists the concept of so called Autotext.

The Hotstrings text replacement tool is active in all edit fields where text can be entered, no matter what application you consider: Internet browser, text processor, spreadsheet, ERP app, whatever. Instead of other solutions, you can easily edit, copy, move your definitions, which are stored in human-readable text format. The files which store definitions are called libraries. There is ready to use big collection of free libraries, which can be downloaded from within the application.

When run, the application connects to the keyboard / mouse buffer in the operating system and automatically alters text entered by the user each time previously defined text is found.

Application interface is highly configurable. Thanks to that, you can customize it to your liking, making even triggering almost transparent.
